Rise and shine bright with Sunday Goods and Cannakula on Sunday, June 12th. Join us in-store at the Sunday Goods Tempe location for Sunday Rise - a 75 min Slow Yoga Flow. Doors open at 8:00am, class begins at 8:30am.
June is National Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness Month, and this class is intended to raise public awareness about issues related to PTSD and reduce the stigma associated with PTSD. Yoga can be an effective treatment for PTSD because it works with both the mind and the body, while also helping to create a sense of safe community from which you can draw comfort and support.
If you would benefit from this therapeutic experience or know someone who would, please share with your friend, family member or co-worker.
Your guide for Slow Yoga Flow is Paige Fleischmann featuring Soulful Sounds provided by DEVOTION.
This functional Slow Flow Yoga class is all about mindful movement that meets you where you are at. Breathing, centering, and being present will be the focus of this class. Students will be guided to move at a slower pace with pauses in different shapes and positions as well as fluid and simple transitions to others. All participants will enjoy a practice that is healthy, safe, nourishing, fulfilling and fun. All are welcome.
Your guide for a grounding and calming Meditation to close the class is Jennifer Miles.
Bring a yoga mat if you have one, and if you require props, bring yoga block(s) and a blanket. Please note, there is limited supply of props available to borrow.
As PTSD is an invisible wound of war or military service, we’ve asked our friends at Balanced Veterans Network to join us. BVN is a non-profit organization, whose mission is to create a safe space for the education, advocacy, and empowerment of alternative therapies for veterans.
MedCare Clinic, will be on-site to share more information about PTSD and other qualifying conditions for access to Medical Marijuana in the state of Arizona.
This month, we are hosting a raffle... Hooray! Three lucky winners will walk away with some tickets to upcoming Plant. Body. Soul. and Cannakula events, as well as swag from Sunday Goods. Additionally, two lucky veterans will win a medical card, courtesy of MedCare Clinic and Sunday Goods.
To fuel your experience, Sunday Goods has got you covered with cold brew, hot coffee and kombucha.
Sunday Goods is a pathway to a personalized, approachable, and feel good experience.
